After being diagnosed with breast cancer and working toward my recovery, one thing stood out. The gifts of support that I received from friends and family had a profound impact on my recovery. These tokens of love I carried with me day in and day out were instrumental to my recovery. I have always loved beautiful stones and landscapes, but my passion for jewelry came from the symbolism of support I received during this time. Little did I know as a child, agate hunting in the Black Hills and shopping for crystals with my mother, the symbolism that would eventually find its way to me in the most unlikely way. Carrying jewelry loving picked out to encourage me was like having them and that love with me on the battlefield of illness and life.
